There is no hiding from yourself in front of a mirror, that’s why mirror work is one of the most powerful ways to develop a profound relationship with yourself and others. By simply looking yourself in the mirror and sincerely talking to yourself you’re able to connect to your inner self. At first it may be uncomfortable, emotional or awkward because it entails being vulnerable, your exposing yourself to deep feelings and let’s be honest, most of us are our own biggest critics.

The primary purpose of mirror work is to cultivate self-love, self-care, and self-worth. And if you really want to level up your mirror, do it naked!  Naked mirror work brings upon a deeper connection to your feminine essence and physical body, loving and accepting every inch of you inside and out.

For some this may not happen immediately as you will work through insecurities and self-resentments as your inner presence emerges. “The mirror reflects back to you the feelings you have about yourself. It makes you immediately aware of where you are resisting and where you are open and flowing. It clearly shows you what thoughts you will need to change if you want to have a joyous, fulfilling life.” – Louise Hay.   The more emotional you feel, the more emotional purging and transformations are happening.  It’s ok to feel emotional, allow yourself to feel all the feels.

As you consistently show up for yourself this will become easier and feel more natural.  You will begin to accept and love yourself just the way you are.

How exactly do I practice naked mirror work?

  1. Have a mirror handy
  2. Create a comfortable quiet sacred space
  3. Undress
  4. Look yourself in the mirror, admire every inch of your body
  5. Create personal affirmations. When we use affirmations, we are affirming something that we like about ourselves or something positive we wish to give ourselves. – Repeat the affirmations 10 times looking yourself in the eyes.
  6. If you feel comfortable enough touch your body as you repeat the affirmations. You may not be comfortable at first, that’s ok, work your way up to.

Bonus:

Once you have mastered naked mirror work, try Yoni Gazing. Yoni gazing is deeply intimate, empowering and spiritual that allows you to fully embody your most sacred space.  Its about taking her all in, every aspect she holds; her appearance, energetic essence, smell, the way she feels…  Yoni gazing isn’t meant to sexually arousing, it’s a time to bring upon a different kind of attention than she usually gets, admiration.  Admire her for her strength, her creative energy and beauty.  As you open up, meet her with pure essence and no judgements.  Just gaze for a minute, then feel her, allow her energy to flow through you.  Softly speak to her, tell her something positive, something you like about her, thank her, whatever you feel is fitting.  You truly are an embodiment of the divine feminine.
